Tom and Debbi Dorr
Our passion for small businesses, love for the Bellingham community, and appreciation for exceptional design is fueled by years of experience in interior design, construction management, small business entrepreneurship, and community engagement. After consulting the former owner for over 25 years, we, along with general manager Chris Ramirez, were thrilled to take over Inspired Closets Bellingham. From the product, to the people, to the clients, Inspired Closets is a company we wholeheartedly believe in. Whether you’re a homeowner or a business owner, you need a closet upgrade, a garage transformation, or anything in between, our team is ready and excited to help you actualize your storage goals, simply your life, and have fun while doing it.

Chris Ramirez
Owner & General Manager
A local graduate from Western Washington University, Chris has been involved with Inspired Closets Bellingham since 2018. He manages day-to-day operations and is passionate about ensuring quality products, efficient installs, and exceptional customer service.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Chris answers, “Making each new day a little better than the last. Even small incremental improvements are better than none.” Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending time doing DIY house projects, gaming, and spending time with his cat, Sushi.
Debbi Dorr
Co-Owner
Debbi brings a unique blend of 30+ years of interior design, construction management, and small business entrepreneurship to her co-ownership of Inspired Closets Bellingham. She is a former certified ASID Allied Interior Designer, having tackled numerous projects around Whatcom County. Debbi has worked for several commercial and residential design firms and construction companies, as well as ran a kitchen and bath remodel program for a large home improvement retailer for many years.
When asked, "What inspires you?" Debbi says that she is truly inspired by creativity in all forms. She loves all things design, including good interiors, architecture, fashion, and the arts. When she’s not at the office, Debbi can be found taking jewelry metalsmithing classes, practicing watercolor painting, and taking beach walks with her golden retriever, Bailey, near her home in Birch Bay.
Tom Dorr
Co-Owner
Tom has a long history of business consulting, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. He has worked with Inspired Closets Bellingham for over 25 years as a consultant to the former owner, Mike Buchholz. Tom believed so much in the company, the people, and the clients, that he, his wife Debbi, and general manager, Chris Ramirez, bought the company in 2022.
When asked, "What inspires you?" Tom is inspired to help people actualize their dreams: from homeowners and business owners to organized closets and garages. When he’s not busy with Inspired Closets business, Tom can be found consulting with other business owners, working with the local senior center and Meals on Wheels program, and planning adventures around the region with Debbi and their golden retriever, Bailey.

Jana Miesuk
Senior Designer
Jana brings decades of closet design expertise to her clients. She began her career at Inspired Closets Bellingham over 35 years ago when her family started the business creating custom closets for builders and homeowners. Jana loves meeting new clients, working on a variety of residential design projects, and ultimately seeing clients’ dreams come to life. Her experience and commitment to exceeding clients’ expectations make her an invaluable member of the Inspired Closets Bellingham team.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Jana tells us that she feels inspired by seeing the pieces of the puzzle come together. Guiding the transformative journey from initial concept to final design is what fuels her passion and dedication to client satisfaction. When she’s not designing, Jana enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and grandkids. She cherishes moments camping with friends, shooting trap, and immersing herself in a good book.
Dawn Callahan
Senior Designer
Dawn has been an integral part of Inspired Closets Bellingham for over 24 years, working closely with a diverse array of clients to bring creative design solutions to fruition. She appreciates the uniqueness of each project, which is meticulously tailored to the specific needs of each client.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Dawn expresses that knowing she has contributed to creating order and organization in people’s homes brings her a profound sense of accomplishment. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dawn enjoys being with her husband, family and friends, especially taking part in all aspects of her granddaughter’s life.
Scott Callahan
Designer & Lead Installer / Craftsman
Scott has been the lead installer for Inspired Closets Bellingham for over 25 years. He is renowned for his expertise and dedication to craftsmanship, customer service, and design. These skills, along with an unwavering pursuit of perfection, make him an invaluable asset to Inspired Closets Bellingham and a true leader in the industry. Scott's journey into the world of construction and closet installation began at the tender age of 12 when he started working summers with his father, a general contractor who specialized in residential homes. This early exposure to the industry instilled in Scott a deep understanding of and appreciation for meticulous workmanship. His knowledge of how the finished product comes together also aids in his designs and helps clients understand what’s possible.
When asked, "What inspires you?" Scott's response is, “Helping clients turn their frustrations and new ideas into finished projects that bring organization and joy to their lives.” Scott's commitment to excellence is evident in every project he undertakes. He approaches each task with careful attention to detail, ensuring that every client's vision is brought to life with precision and care. Outside of work, Scott travels and spends time with his family at the beach. He enjoys taking photographs of nature's many colors and forms.
Alyssa Ricketts
Design Support & Office Administrative Assistant
Alyssa has been with Inspired Closets Bellingham for over a year and contributes new, valuable perspectives to the showroom. Whether over the phone or when they walk into the showroom, Alyssa is the first person most clients meet to learn about our products and services. Her commitment to customer service and her cheerful personality complement her problem-solving skills.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Alyssa shares that she’s inspired by providing the best possible customer experience. Outside of work, Alyssa values spending time with family and friends. She also spends her weekends working on vehicles with her fiancé, Alex, and playing with her cat, Isabella.
Justun Hawkins
Shop Foreman
Justun has been with Inspired Closets Bellingham for over 25 years. He keeps the after-design process efficient, on time, and well-organized. Under Justun's leadership, the company has seen significant advancements in both efficiency and innovation. He has implemented several state-of-the-art manufacturing processes that have not only increased production output, but also improved overall quality.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Justun shares that his commitment to excellence and attention to detail are what motivate him every day. These traits are also key factors in the continued success of the operations of the company. While Justun works behind the scenes, his efforts are a significant reason we have supported thousands of satisfied clients with custom closets and garage systems. Outside of work, Justun enjoys hunting and camping with his immediate and extended family. His homemade jerky is mouthwatering.
