When the opportunity to buy Inspired Closets Vermont arose, she quickly realized what an incredible team and company it is, and she was thrilled to become part of it. Kerri has always been passionate about delivering exceptional experiences, products, and results for her clients, and she is proud to lead a team of professionals who are helping homeowners achieve better use of their spaces.

Previously we only had shelving on one side of the walk-in pantry. Our designer helped us create a space that provides not only shelving, but also cabinets, countertop working space, drawers and an area to hang glassware and put wine. We now have a walk-in pantry that is not only functional, it maximizes every inch of space possible from floor to ceiling! I can’t say enough how much I love the work they did for us. The idea that there are infinite possibilities informs my work every day. Art books, fashion, and decor magazines live on my bedside table.”

Designer

Amy is our superstar basketball, baseball, and softball mom who has a passion for design! She brings to our team 5 years experience in the flooring business and 1 year experience as a tile designer. Amy loves to design spaces for our clients that they will love for years to come. She also enjoys creating authentic connections with people in our Vermont community. In her free time, you can usually find Amy cheering for her kids on the court or in the field.

What INSPIRES Amy? “I want to be the best role model for my kids. I’m inspired to be successful for them, so they’ll be inspired to work just as hard!”

Designer

With a background in home organization and consulting, Lara brings a wealth of expertise and unique talent to our team. A multi-talented designer who understands the importance of organization in a home, she excels at making spaces more functional according to her client’s individual needs. Lara will take a look at your space and suggest practical improvements to make life more manageable.

What INSPIRES Lara? “Pushing myself out of my comfort zone and doing things that I’m passionate about! If you put your mind to something and work hard, you can achieve anything! That’s how I know that no matter the design challenge, I will exceed my clients’ expectations.” Originally from the Boston area, she now lives in Shelburne with her husband and four children and enjoys spending her free time out in nature, taking in the beautiful Vermont scenery.

From a young age, Kristina has been passionate about transforming interior spaces. She spent the last few years professionally painting, organizing, styling, and staging homes. Additionally, she worked with homeowners to turn seasonally occupied homes into highly sought-after short-term rentals. Kristina understands the importance of properly designed organizational systems and cohesive aesthetics, and she looks forward to helping clients more effectively utilize their space while easing the feeling of, “Where do I even begin?"

What INSPIRES Kristina? “I am inspired by transformational processes. When I enter an old house or a dysfunctional space, I feel like a kid in a candy store. Yes, I love before and after photos, but my true appreciation is for the incremental progress and collaborative decisions that take place in between. My appreciation for the ‘process’ grew from my experience as a competitive athlete. The training, progression, and relationships were my daily bread that I learned to love more than competitions themselves.”

Office Manager & Customer Support

Always in a sunny mood, customers appreciate Jennifer's warmth and personal attention. And it’s no secret our team loves her supportive nature, fun personality, and well stocked candy dish too! Jennifer is on the front lines of customer service and when you visit our showroom, you will note the sign block on Jennifer’s desk that says, “Director of First Impressions.” This statement is shared with everyone she meets and once you meet her, you’ll see why she’s the best. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Jennifer volunteering with Zonta, taking a yoga class, and exploring Vermont with her husband Bob.

Thanks to his father and a childhood spent building or fixing anything he could, Kevin has a longstanding love of carpentry and machinery. Naturally curious, he has a knack for finding solutions to unexpected challenges. If he’s not on his motorcycle or in his pick-up truck exploring New England, you’ll find Kevin skiing the slopes in the winter and riding the waves in Lake Champlain in the summer.

What INSPIRES Kevin? “Working with people who are dedicated to doing a good job and have fun doing it.”

Dan Welch

Warehouse Coordinator

A hard worker, Dan is all about the process of preparing product for each job. Thanks to his background in drywall, building and framing in the residential and commercial industry, he understands the big picture for any project. And much to our delight, he is hyper organized and detail oriented. A family man, Dan enjoys time with his wife, son Max and is a caregiver for a young adult. He also has a knack for creating some of the best craft brew beer in the state.

What INSPIRES Dan? “I was in the Marine’s and in the military, you’re always watching out for others in your platoon. If someone was hurt, needed a helping hand, whatever it was, we could depend on one-another. There is a sense of pride that comes from being a part of this group, and that drives you forward, wanting to help others.”

A retired high school teacher of 20 years and counting, Joe loves building closets and sharing his carpentry skills with our team and clients. A lifelong learner, Joe loves each new build and the challenges it presents. When not installing, Joe and his wife Nancy are avid travelers and love to meet new people. In a state where most people are Red Soxs fans, Joe is a Yankees fan which keeps things interesting amongst his coworkers. Joe has bragging rights for another team as his great uncle played for the Braves.

What INSPIRES Joe? Sharing his knowledge and learning new things. “I find people of all ages interesting to talk to. You never know what you’ll learn if you don’t start a conversation.”

Gene Taylo

Gene brings a 12-year background in upholstery and window treatment installation to our team. He values quality craftsmanship and careful work to deliver an outstanding final product. Gene is enjoys spending time outdoors canoeing, fishing, camping, and backcountry snowboarding with his wife, Grace. With a passion for classical music and his community, Gene frequently volunteers at the Vermont Symphony Orchestra on his days off.

What INSPIRES Gene? “I find that organizing and installing mudroom or garage spaces inspire me. I want to give our clients better access to their gear to get them outside and doing the things that they love!”

Coming from a family of avid woodworkers, Matt has had an appreciation for design from a young age. He always enjoyed seeing the beautiful furniture that his family created, motivating him to pursue a degree in Graphic Design from SUNY New Paltz. Over the years, Matt has found his true passion in carpentry and enjoys working at Inspired Closets where we balance both form and function in our clients’ designs.

What INSPIRES Matt? “Our teams’ energy, positivity, and kindness has stood out to me since my very first day. I’m happy to say that I’m part of a team that truly inspires me. I am proud to work with such good people!” In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing the guitar and crafting handbound leather journals.
