2. Design
Together we’ll create a design customized to your needs. We will:
- Show you designs that connect back to your needs and wants
- Provide recommendations on layout, color, and finishes
- Share material and hardware samples
- Create a 3D rendering of your custom closet
3. Prepare
We respect your to-do list. Preparation takes time and can feel daunting. We get it, and we’re here to help. Ask us about:
- Garment racks that make it easy to access your belongings during installation.
- How we can help with the removal of your existing closet system and preparing your walls for installation

Our Inspired Closets Hawaii team starts the custom closet process with a one-on-one conversation so we can get to know you and your space. We’ll ask you questions about how you move in and out of your space, take inventory of what you own, and measure the space to ensure we design a solution that accommodates all you own and fits seamlessly into your life. You might not know exactly what you want in your new custom closet or how you want it to look, and that’s alright. We are here to listen to your wants and needs and then make design and layout recommendations that align with them.
With years of design experience completing closet organization projects for Hawaii residents, our team has vast experience with design including color, finish, and hardware recommendations. We will guide you through the process and offer our expertise. We’re always mindful of balancing your needs, wants, and budget. It’s okay if you change your mind during the design step. We’re patient, and we are committed to designing the ideal custom closet or Murphy bed for your Hawaii home.
During the design step, we create a 3D rendering of your custom closet or other home organization solution, which helps you visualize the space before we finalize the design.
Once the design is finalized, we begin the preparation stage. We understand that cleaning out your closet can be an inconvenience, which is why we try to ease the stress by offering garment racks, an easy way to store and access your belongings while we’re preparing the closet for installation.
Our closet installation team is based on Oahu, Hawaii and will travel to your home—no matter what island you’re on—at a time that works with your schedule. We arrive on time and work efficiently to remove your current closet structure, then prepare the walls for your new custom closet. On installation day, we’re respectful of your space as we install your new custom closet or Murphy Bed. With installation complete, all that’s left for you to do is enjoy your new, organized space.
